TikTok lets you save videos inside the app, but every download comes with a bouncing watermark showing the TikTok logo and the creator's username. If you want a clean copy without the watermark — to repost with credit, edit, or keep offline — you need to grab the original file. Download a TikTok video in 4 steps
- Find the video on TikTokOpen the TikTok app or tiktok.com and go to the video you want to download.
- Tap Share, then Copy linkTap the Share arrow, then choose “Copy link”. On a computer you can copy the URL straight from the address bar instead.

Tips and troubleshooting
- Download failed? The video might be private, removed, or geo-restricted. Grab a new link and retry. If several TikTok links fail in a row, wait a moment — the resolver can briefly rate-limit rapid requests.
- Short links work too. vm.tiktok.com and vt.tiktok.com share links are supported — no need to open them first.
